Yep, he seems to be a happier person than he was a couple of years ago so this next album shouldn't be as emotionally tough to listen to as TTATS was/is, although I doubt that he'll do a Spin type piece of fluff (and hope not!).
Anyway, it should be interesting. For all of his faults, musical and otherwise, he's always that! [img]tongue.gif[/img]
No no spin fluff allowed puhleaaaaaase. Though it scares me a bit cause IKILY was a monster hit and not one of my faves.. but still compared to some of Spin its brilliance lol
Plus new music always livens things up a bit gives us some conversation fodder.
It will be very interesting to see how it all pans out.

Because we all know bands have to move forward musically. But I too think it will be more organic. It will still be honest.. I think there will be a few more happier stories being told. Possibly a ballady type as they are destined to be hits if done right. I am especially interested in this one thats going to be a single and on the SG album and his own solo album. I dont think Spin type songs will get a look in because I think he and we all know that that was a bit of a fabricated album. It wasnt that real bar the few songs that were gems. Thus I dont think he would do that again as hes not in that mindset.

I wondered if it's actually a farewell to the band - finally drawing a proper line underneath it all. As much as I can't wait to hear the music, I find it a bit sad that this makes it 'officially' done by releasing a greatest hits.
I think Darren should use the SG name as much as poss - what's he got to lose by doing it? The band was hugely successful, and it's still a damn shame that as a solo artist he has yet to show the world his worth. He's grown since then, especially musically, and dammit I want to see him back on my telly!
And to think I hadn't been online for days. What a time to take a look around! It's been so long since I posted on Sony that it's doing the whole 'put in your email' nonsense.
Hurray to it all though...should we start forming an orderly queue for the tour? (*PLEASE NOTE terrible wishful thinking on my part).
